It’s been cold for maybe 2 days in a row here in Florida so we’re already wishing for Spring 🙂 Springtime means the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival isn’t far off. This year’s festival runs March 2 to July 4, which is 125 days. Plenty of time to enjoy the flowers, topiaries and tasty treats! Here are some of the fun festivities for this year:
Disney topiaries are perfect for springtime family photos (and Instagram shots!) and there’ll be a new one featuring Goofy with a Walt Disney World 50th anniversary cake right at the front of Epcot.
Disney’s teams are designing new topiaries of the Seven Dwarfs to accompany Snow White near the Germany pavilion in World Showcase. Returning favorites Lumiere and Cogsworth will be in the France pavilion and Pumbaa and Timon topiaries will be near Imagination.
Scentsy’s Fragrant Garden
You’ll be able to enjoy the sights and scents of spring on the bridge to the World Showcase at a new fragrant garden presented by Scentsy. You can check out six different scent stations, each featuring a different smell: floral, fruity, citrus, spice, woods and fresh. Beautiful butterfly topiaries will be on display in the area, so your eyes and nose are in for a treat!
Garden Rocks Concert Series
The Garden Rocks Concert Series will be returning to the Festival this year and features internationally recognized artists on the America Gardens Theatre stage Friday through Monday; local bands will will be onstage Tuesday through Thursday.
Newly added artists to the lineup include Gospel singer CeCe Winans and Tommy DeCarlo, singer of the band Boston. Returning favorites include The Guess Who, Rick Springfield and Kool & The Gang, as well as popular Latin hitmakers Melina León and Claudia Leitte.
Checking out all of this awesome stuff can make you hungry, but don’t worry, Epcot’s got your back. There are 18 Outdoor Kitchens serving up delicious food. The festival will have several returning options as well as some new ones to try.
Other new mouthwatering menu items can be found at The Citrus Blossom, Magnolia Terrace and Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina, among others.
While you’re at the Festival, explore the Garden Graze, a fun food stroll highlighting five delicious sweet and savory offerings listed in the Festival Passport. Once you complete the graze, you’ll receive a special treat!
